Pricing terms
This page describes how the service works today; the LICENSE and the BiVelio Terms govern.
Every figure on this page is read from the code that bills you, so it changes when the price changes.
The seat fee
€4 per seat per month, or €39 per seat per year, in EUR.
The seat fee is billed through Stripe for each monthly or yearly cycle of your subscription, counted from the day it starts.
The seat fee is paid whether or not the Software produces any saving.
Amounts exclude VAT. Checkout asks for your billing address and, optionally, your VAT number; both are printed on your invoice.
What a seat is
A seat is one machine or service identity that runs the Software, not a person. You choose how many seats your subscription covers (up to 500 at checkout), and your license covers that many.
Each calendar month (UTC), BiVelio counts as in use every distinct seat identifier that was active on at least 3 different days of that month. Identities flagged as CI or ephemeral runners are not counted. Your dashboard compares that count with the seats your subscription covers.

The commission on measured savings
A commission is charged only on measured savings: savings labelled "measured" or "reference" in your usage records. Savings labelled "estimated", "unmeasured", or "shadow" never carry commission.
- A measured saving is established from your LLM provider's own usage counter for that request.
- A reference saving, for a repeated request the Software served without calling your provider, is established from your provider's counter for the identical earlier request that did run, under the rule shown on your statement (reference-v2).
- Both are valued at the per-token prices the Software applied to that request: those of a cost model you configure, where you configure one, and otherwise your provider's list prices in the price catalogue included in the Software.
- Traffic the Software identifies as a flat-rate provider subscription (a Claude or ChatGPT subscription used through the local gateway) is metered but credited no measured saving, so it carries no commission.
- The value of input tokens your provider reports as cleared from context is recorded, but it is not part of the commission base.
Tiers
The period's measured savings are converted to EUR and split into marginal tiers, each charged at its own rate:

No tier's rate exceeds 10%, so before the commission is rounded to the cent you keep at least 90% of the period's measured savings. The seat fee is separate.
Measured savings are counted in US dollars and converted at the European Central Bank reference rate fetched when the period is closed; your statement shows the rate used.
The commission is rounded to the nearest cent. A commission below €0.50 is not invoiced and is not carried over to another period.
A period with no measured savings carries no commission.

Calibration period
The first calendar month (UTC) in which your organization reports any usage is a calibration period, however little of that month remains. It carries no commission, and its statement still shows the commission that would have applied.
Exemption from the commission
No commission is charged for a period that BiVelio closes while your account is exempt from it. An account is exempt when BiVelio grants it an exemption and, until a payment is made on the account, when its subscription was activated with a promotional code that waives the seat fee in full for its entire term. The statement still shows the commission that would have applied.
Statement and invoice
The commission is calculated per calendar month (UTC). After a month ends, BiVelio closes it: your dashboard's statement for that month is sealed with the measured base, the tiers, the exchange rate and the price-catalogue version, and the commission is invoiced from that statement through Stripe, on an invoice separate from the seat fee.
